Tenders are invited from experienced General Contractors for the above captioned project. The project involves all works required for the construction of a 1.4 meter high reinforced concrete block retaining wall together with a 1.2 meter wide curbed concrete on Happy Valley Road at #1 Hillsdale Avenue.

Contractors submitting a tender for this work will be required to provide sufficient information to demonstrate their technical and financial capability to complete the works in accordance with the specification and contract drawings.

“It seems like only a short time ago that a few of us travelled to New York for the announcement of Bermuda as the host venue for the America’s Cup 2017.

Yet, in less than two years we have made significant progress and actually created nine acres of new land in Bermuda.

You are formally invited to submit a response to the tender for external painting to Government House. It is the tenderer’s responsibility to read the entire tender and comply with all requirements herein.

The work comprises the external painting of all previously painted external surfaces to Government House. The contract will be for a period to be determined. Tenderers must submit fully completed form of tenders. Tenderers are encouraged to visit the site of the said works.

I am very pleased to join the Minister of Education the Hon. Wayne Scott, JP, MP at Elliot School today to announce that significant progress has been made towards the completion of the 2016 Summer School’s Maintenance Project.

All scheduled works will have been completed prior to the start of the school year and all school buildings ready to receive our students for the 2016/2017 School Year.

The Ministry of Public Works would like to remind the public that owners of property adjacent to a road are responsible for trimming back overhanging trees and hedges on their properties to stop vegetation from projecting into the roadways or sidewalks.

Last week the Minister of Public Works the Hon. Craig Cannonier JP MP visited the South Basin, America's Cup site, in Dockyard to meet with two Government Trainee Civil Engineers - Mr. Ricardo Graham-Ward and Ms Allanette Hayward. Both Mr. Graham-Ward and Ms Hayward work in the Ministry of Public Works and were recently placed on secondment in the private sector to gain vital work experience which will go towards their accreditation as Chartered Engineers. They both completed their three-month internships at the South Basin site with BCM McAlpine.
