Ferry Schedule’s Pink Route to Resume Normal Service Starting 31st August

The Department of Marine and Ports Services advises the public that starting Monday, 31st August 2020, changes to the ferry schedule’s Pink Route will take effect.

Additional times will be added to the Pink Route’s Monday to Friday schedule – from 10am until 12:35pm and from 7pm until 8:35pm – allowing the service to return to pre-COVID-19 regularity.

Residents can find the new schedule online at the Department of Marine & Ports Services website.

Minister Wilson COVID-19 update 27th August

Good Afternoon,

Today there were 903 test results received by the Ministry of Health, and none were positive for COVID-19.

Bermuda has had 168 total confirmed positive cases. Their status is as follows:

  • 151 have recovered, and
  • there are 8 active cases, who are
  • all under active public health monitoring;
  • none are hospitalized or in critical care, and
  • the total deceased remains at 9.

The average age of all of our confirmed positive cases is 58 and the age range of all of our positive cases is from 18 to 101 years.

Minister Ming - 27 August Update

As we close out our formal weekly press briefings, I wish to take this opportunity to provide an overview of the work done by the various Departments under the Ministry of National Security. Each of the individuals who work in these sections performed a vital, essential and invaluable service during this pandemic. And their work continues.

The Bermuda Police Service (BPS) and the Royal Bermuda Regiment (RBR) provided a critical front line role over the last five months. Working in partnership, the BPS and RBR monitored the road side check points during the curfew periods.

Minister Roban Reminds Landlords and Tenants About Rent Considerations Due to COVID-19

With many landlords and tenants continuing to feel the financial effects of the COVID-19 virus, Deputy Premier and Minister of Home Affairs the Hon. Walter Roban JP, MP thanked those landlords that have showed compassion during these unprecedented times – while reminding tenants facing financial hardship to pay what they can – and encouraging those that can pay their rent to honour their obligations.

Today there were 636 test results received by the Ministry of Health, and none were positive for COVID-19.

Recent travellers are reminded that you must remain in quarantine until you receive your individual results by email. There has been a small number of persons who have broken quarantine because they hear on the news that there were no positive results the day prior. In fact, travellers must remain in quarantine until they receive their emailed result of the negative test that releases them from quarantine.
