Attorney-General's Chambers

The Attorney-General’s Chambers:

1. Provide quality legal services to the Bermuda Government.
2. Advise all Government Ministries, Departments, and Entities, on the law applicable to their operational requirements.
3. Draft legislation as required to implement the Government's policy, to maintain Bermuda's legislative database and to support Law Reform.
4. Draft contracts, international instruments for Mutual Tax Information Exchange, conveyances and other documents required for public purposes and to provide advice on Private Bills.
5. Conduct litigation in the Civil Courts of Bermuda on behalf of the Government of Bermuda.
6. Process Mutual Legal Assistance Requests on behalf of International Jurisdictions.
7. Provide high quality legal advice to all ministries and government departments.
8. Draft contracts, leases and other legal documents required for public purposes.
9. Consolidate and publish the laws of Bermuda on the website www.bermudalaws.bm.
