“Unfortunately, Bermuda has had another two coronavirus-related deaths,” said Acting Minister of Health, Jason Hayward. “This is sad news, and I extend sincere condolences to the family and loved ones of the deceased.”

Since the last update, the Ministry of Health received 4146 test results, and 205 were positive for the coronavirus, giving a test positivity rate of 5%.

These results are from testing done on:

·Tuesday: 32 positive out of 888 results (3.6% positivity) 

·Wednesday:  39 positive out of  707 results (5.5% positivity)

Since the last update, the Ministry of Health received 4020 test results, and 266 were positive for the coronavirus, giving a test positivity rate of 7%.

Mr. Speaker, I rise today to highlight to the Honourable Members and the public about the unprecedented financial challenges that many of our nursing homes are currently experiencing and the recent financial relief provided to those nursing care homes that received a grant from the Ministry of Social Development and Seniors remit.

“Sadly, we had a coronavirus-related death since our last update,” said Minister of Health, Kim Wilson. “I extend my heartfelt condolences and prayers to the family and loved ones of the deceased.”

Since the last update, the Ministry of Health received 3982 test results, and 321 were positive for the coronavirus, giving a test positivity rate of 8%.

Since the last update, the Ministry of Health received 8589 test results, and 334 were positive for the coronavirus, giving a test positivity rate of 4%.

·         Wednesday:  53 positive out of  1579 results (3.4% positivity)

·         Thursday: 53 positive out of 1752 results (3.7% positivity)

·         Saturday: 28 positive out of 805 results (3.5% positivity)

The Epidemiology and Surveillance Unit database is currently offline due to technical difficulties. Therefore, COVID-19 statistics are not able to be provided today. An update will be provided once the situation is resolved, which we anticipate in the coming days.

The Ministry of Health reminds the public that the current supply of the COVID-19 vaccines expires at the end of June. COVID-19 vaccines are available at the following locations during June.
