CONSTRUCTION OF BELCO’s NORTH POWER PLANT
EXTENDED through to Monday, August 31st, 2020

The Ministry of Public Works wishes to inform motorists and pedestrians that there will an extension to the two road closures presently in place for the construction of the North Power Plant at BELCO.

Whereas the Minister of National Security considers that the proposed Bermuda Trade Union Congress Meetings  are exceptional circumstances justifying an exemption from the prohibition in regulation 4(1) of the Emergency Powers (COVID-19 Continuing Precautions) Regulations 2020 on groups of more than twenty (20) persons assembling;

NOTICE OF DECLARATION OF LABOUR DISPUTE

Pursuant to section 4 of the Labour Disputes Act 1992, I declare that a labour dispute exists between the Attorney-General’s Chambers and the Bermuda Public Service Union.

In accordance with section 11 as read with section 4, of the Labour Disputes Act 1992, I am referring the said dispute for settlement to the Labour Disputes Tribunal established under section 5 of that Act.
