On Sunday, April 24^th, 2016, officers from the Department of Immigration’s Compliance Section, with the assistance of officers from the Department of Corrections, successfully carried out a significant deportation exercise which involved the escort of seven foreign nationals, incarcerated in Bermuda, from five different countries back to their respective home countries: Jamaica, Grenada, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Barbados and St. Maarten.

Travelers whose country is listed in the Order must present a multi re-entry visa (MRV) for the UK, US or Canada to enter Bermuda:

To work in Bermuda, you must be Bermudian, be married to a Bermudian, or be a Permanent Resident’s Certificate (PRC) holder. If you are not, under the Bermuda Immigration and Protection Act 1956, it is illegal for you to live and work in Bermuda without a valid work permit.
