NOTICE OF COMING INTO OPERATION OF CONSTITUTION OF BERMUDA (CONSTITUENCY BOUNDARIES) ORDER 2017 AND PUBLICATION OF ADAPTED PARLIAMENTARY REGISTER

 

 

Notice is hereby given that the Constitution of Bermuda (Constituency Boundaries) Order 2017 (BR 122 / 2017) came into operation on the dissolution of the Legislature on 21 August 2020 and, as a consequence, certain constituency boundaries have been altered.

Whereas the Minister of National Security considers that the proposed Hamilton Princess & Beach Club Employees Meeting is justifying an exemption from the prohibition in regulation 5 (1) and (2) of the Public Health (COVID-19 Emergency Powers) Regulations 2020 on groups of more than seventy-five persons assembling;

WHEREAS section 51(1) of the Constitution provides that a general election of Members of the House of Assembly shall be held at such time within three months after every dissolution of the Legislature as the Governor shall appoint by proclamation published in the Gazette;
