NOTICE OF GENERAL ELECTION

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, in pursuance of the provisions of section 30 of the Parliamentary Election Act 1978,  that on 22 August 2020 His Excellency the Governor issued writs of election for the election and return of one person as a member of the House of Assembly for each of the thirty-six parliamentary constituencies in Bermuda.

1.         Nomination Day is 10 September 2020

NOTICE OF COMING INTO OPERATION OF CONSTITUTION OF BERMUDA (CONSTITUENCY BOUNDARIES) ORDER 2017 AND PUBLICATION OF ADAPTED PARLIAMENTARY REGISTER

Notice is hereby given that the Constitution of Bermuda (Constituency Boundaries) Order 2017 (BR 122 / 2017) came into operation on the dissolution of the Legislature on 21 August 2020 and, as a consequence, certain constituency boundaries have been altered.

Whereas the Minister of National Security considers that the proposed Hamilton Princess & Beach Club Employees Meeting is justifying an exemption from the prohibition in regulation 5 (1) and (2) of the Public Health (COVID-19 Emergency Powers) Regulations 2020 on groups of more than seventy-five persons assembling;
