OPENING CEREMONY - CIRCLE INTERNET GROUP, INC.

The Premier, the Hon. E. David Burt, JP. MP., accompanied by a Government official, travelled to New York City on 2nd April, 2025, for the official opening of "Circle's new Global headquarters at One World Trade Centre. The event hosted industry, key partners and political leaders central to Circle's growth and success. 

 

United Kingdom and European Union Visit - 2024

The Premier and Minister of Finance, the Hon. E. David Burt, JP. MP., led a Bermuda delegation to the United Kingdom, Belgium, France, and Ireland during the period 3rd to 11th September, 2024, for a series of high-level meetings and events to strengthen relationships, and to advance Bermuda's interests as a leading international business jurisdiction.

 

DC Blockchain Summit 2025

The Premier and Minister of Finance, the Hon. E. David Burt, JP. MP., led a Bermuda delegation to Washington, DC., during the period 25th - 27th March, 2025, to meet with US Government representatives, and to participate in the DC Blockchain Summit 2025. The Premier and Minister of Finance was joined by the Minister of Economy and Labour, the Hon. Jason Hayward, JP. MP.

 

Eurofi Financial Forum 2025

The Premier and Minister of Finance, the Hon. E. David Burt, JP. MP., led a Bermuda delegation to Warsaw, Poland and the United Kingdom during the period 7th - 15th April, 2025, to attend a Eurofi Financial Forum (9th - 11th April, 2025), and to participate in official meetings with European counterparts. The delegation included Chidozie Ofoego, Financial Secretary, Kenneth Joaquin, Registrar of Companies, Aliyyah Ahad, Senior Advisor, European Affairs & Policy, and representatives of the Bermuda Monetary Authority.

SALT/Kracken Wyoming Blockchain Symposium 2025

The Premier, the Hon. E. David Burt, JP.MP., led a Bermuda delegation to Jackson Hole, Wyoming, to attend the Wyoming Blockchain Symposium, held 18th - 21st August, 2025. This was an invitation-only event, hosted by SALT and Kraken, with support from the University of Wyoming's Centre for Blockchain and Digital Innovation. Accompanying the Premier to this event were representatives from the Ministry of Finance, the Bermuda Monetary Authority, and the Bermuda Government Washington, DC office.

CARICOM 49th Heads of Government

The Premier of Bermuda, the Hon. E. David Burt, JP, MP, travelled to Montego Bay, Jamaica, from 6–9 July 2025 to attend the Forty-Ninth Regular Meeting of the Conference of Heads of Government of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) under the chairmanship of Jamaica’s Prime Minister, the Most Honourable Andrew Holness.

CARICOM 48th Heads of Government

The Premier, the Hon. David Burt, JP, MP, travelled to Barbados from February 19–21, 2025, to attend the 48th Regular Meeting of the Conference of CARICOM Heads of Government under the Chairmanship of Hon. Mia Mottley, SC, MP, Prime Minister of Barbados. The Premier was accompanied by MP Chris Famous.

JMC

The Premier of Bermuda, the Hon. David Burt, travelled to the United Kingdom from November 17-22 to attend the annual Joint Ministerial Council (JMC) in London, the first under the new UK Labour Government. This important forum facilitated discussions with UK ministers and fellow Overseas Territory leaders on enhancing the UK-OT relationship through principles of partnership, respect, and democratic autonomy.

Pre-JMC

The Premier, The Hon. David Burt JP, MP travelled to Miami, Florida, from October 27-29 to participate in the Pre-Joint Ministerial Council (Pre-JMC) meetings alongside other Overseas Territory leaders, preparing for the upcoming Joint Ministerial Council (JMC) in London. This gathering provided an opportunity to address shared challenges and priorities in advance of formal discussions with the UK government in November.
