The Minister, accompanied by a Ministry of Finance official, attended a number of meetings with UK based leaders, Government and industry stakeholders, and with top officials within the European Commission and Council of the European Union in Brussels.  The Minister accompanied the Premier at the JMC's session on "Economic Resilience", which focused on building economic resilience in the Territories post Covid-19.  The session was chaired by the UK Minister for Overseas Territories, Amanda Milling, MP, and it was agreed that as a result of external impacts such as Covid-19, natural disaster

The Minister, accompanied by Member of Parliament, Mr. Jache Adams, JP. MP., led a delegation of BDA representatives to a roadshow on "Climate Risk Finance" in New York City. The purpose of the roadshow was to introduce Bermuda's strengths, strategy, and aspirations on being the Climate Risk Finance capital of the world.  The Minister held a number of high level meetings with some of New York's leading law firms, advisers, and asset managers, highlighting Bermuda's core competitive advantages as a capital for climate risk finance, and a hub for climate tech innovation.

The Minister, accompanied by a Ministry of Finance official, led a delegation of BDA representatives, leaders from the BMA, BSX and the private sector, to the BDA's second roadshow on "Climate Risk Finance", in New York City. The Bermuda delegation met with leading global capital allocators, who have combined assets under management of nearly $11 trillion. The Minister reinforced in the meetings that Bermuda must continue to grow and diversify its economy, noting that opportunities in the Climate Risk Finance space, deserved to be a priority focus.

The Minister accompanied the Bermuda Business Development Agency (BDA) on a business development trip to New York to meet with prospective clients for Bermuda.

The Minister of Finance met with officials in the UK and Paris, prior to participating in the French Insurance Federation International Conference as a key note speaker. The Minister met in the UK with Lord Ahmad, Minister of State for the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, for a bilateral meeting on matters of mutual interest to Bermuda and the UK.

The Minister attended a roundtable meeting on expanding financial services in the Caribbean and the impact of "de-risking" on these services. The meeting was hosted by Rep. The Minister of Finance travelled to Brussels, Belgium, to participate in the Association of Bermuda Insurance & Reinsurance (ABIR) International Regulatory Dialogue Conference (September 6th, 2019).  The Minister welcomed influential insurance supervisors, European policymakers, and insurance industry leaders to the event.

The Minister accompanied the Premier of Bermuda, who led a group of regulatory and industry representatives to Consensus 2019, a major conference held in New York. This event attracted over four thousand, five hundred attendees, and included major sponsoring companies, fintech experts, and global law firms. The Minister, along with the Premier of Bermuda, participated in business development meetings and media interviews.

The Minister and a delegation of Ministry of Finance officials, accompanied the Premier to the United Kingdom, Brussels and Germany, for a series of meetings with overseas officials regarding the removal of Bermuda from the list of non-cooperative jurisdictions for tax purposes.
