The Minister, along with the Premier of Bermuda, and a delegation of government, regulatory and industry leaders, attended the Risk and Insurance Management Society (RIMS) Annual Conference and Exhibition in Boston, Massachusetts. RIMS provides Bermuda with an excellent opportunity to showcase everything Bermuda has to offer - our leading global re/insurance market; our pool of expertise, and our innovative products to top-tier regulation.
The Minister attended the annual Bermuda Executive Forum in New York City, and participated in a series of meetings and media interviews (with the Premier of Bermuda) on fintech developments, including Signature Bank and new companies, what Bermuda was doing from a legislative and regulatory framework to encourage blockchain, virtual currencies and fintech; digital assets, bitcoin, etc. The Minister also participated in a moderated panel discussion on "Disruption & Opportunity: Bermuda's Ideal Advantage", where he was joined by other jurisdictional experts in discussion on global indus
The Minister of Finance attended a Vista Tech Teach-In International Conference in the United Kingdom, hosted by Vista Equity Partners of the United States. The Conference was offered to limited partners of Vista's Private Equity Fund. The Conference discussed ideas and trends about the future of business technology globally, including the latest breakthroughs and best practices for business technology. Other topics included the Impact of Artificial Intelligence on Talent, Products and Companies, and Disrupting Transactions with Blockchain, etc.
