COVID-19 Update 12 November 2021

Since the last update, the Ministry of Health received 6674 test results, and 20 were positive for the coronavirus, giving a test positivity rate of 0.3%.

These results are from testing done on:

·         Sunday: 4 positive out of 1526 results (0.3% positivity)

·         Monday: 10 positive out of 1909 results (0.5% positivity)

·         Tuesday: 5 positive out of 1764 results (0.3% positivity)

Since the last update, the Ministry of Health received 5196 test results, and 12 were positive for the coronavirus, giving a test positivity rate of 0.2%.

These results are from testing done on:

•        Thursday: 2 positive out of 1778 results (0.1% positivity)

•        Friday: 6 positive out of 2005 results (0.3% positivity)

•        Saturday: 3 positive out of 1413 results (0.2% positivity)

COVID-19 Update 5 November 2021

Since the last update, the Ministry of Health received 3548 test results, and 12 were positive for the coronavirus, giving a test positivity rate of 0.3%.

These results are from testing done on:

·         Tuesday: 10 positive out of 1797 results (0.6% positivity)

·         Wednesday: 2 positive out of 1751 results (0.1% positivity)

Three of the new cases are classified as imported with a history of travel in the previous 14 days.

COVID-19 Briefing Minister of Health's Remarks 3 November 2021

Good afternoon.

Over the past few weeks, our COVID statistics have improved. Although we have reported coronavirus related deaths, we have also seen fewer active cases. While we cannot become complacent, I am optimistic that things will continue to get better. And for things to continue to get better, we must all do our part and follow the public health guidance.

"Sadly, Bermuda has recorded another two coronavirus related deaths since our last update,” said the Minister of Health, the Hon. Kim Wilson, JP, MP. “I extend heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of the deceased.”

Since the last update, the Ministry of Health received 2997 test results, and eight were positive for the coronavirus, giving a test positivity rate of 0.3%.

These results are from testing done on:

§  Sunday: 3 positive out of 1286 results (0.2% positivity)

§  Monday: 5 positive out of 1711 results (0.3% positivity)

"Sadly, Bermuda has recorded three coronavirus related deaths since our last update,” said the Minister of Health, the Hon. Kim Wilson, JP, MP. “I extend heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of the deceased.”

Since the last update, the Ministry of Health received 6461 test results, and ten were positive for the coronavirus, giving a test positivity rate of 0.2%.

These results are from testing done on:

§  Thursday: 5 positive out of 1934 results (0.3% positivity)

§  Friday: 1 positive out of 2595 results (<0.1% positivity)

As I believe you know, the Government and I, personally, are fully committed to sport. And we are doing everything possible to allow both local and international activities to resume safely.

Local sport, in particular, is extremely important to our social, physical and mental wellbeing, as well as our sporting aspirations nationally. We recognize this and we strive to balance the benefits of sport with the need to keep the population safe during the current pandemic.
