With the 38th Annual Sports Awards scheduled for Thursday, March 21st, 2019, the Department of Youth, Sport & Recreation are currently accepting nomination submissions for the 2018 Sports Awards.
"These awards present an opportunity to celebrate the achievements of our athletes and those persons and organizations that assist in those successes and have made significant and sustained contributions to our sporting environment," said the Minister of Labour, Community Affairs and Sports the Hon. Lovitta Foggo JP MP. "This Government recognizes the role that sport plays in the development of young people and in providing opportunities to succeed."
Awards include: Female Athlete of the Year, Female Junior Athlete of the Year, Appreciation Award 2018, Junior Achievement Award, Male Athlete of the Year, Male Junior Athlete of the Year, Senior Achievement Award, Sport Citation.
Details of each award are located on the nomination forms which can be collected from the Pro Shop, the International Sports Shop and via www.gov.bm. The deadline for all nominations is Friday, December 14th, 2018.
Please note the current awards period is January 1, 2018, to December 14, 2018.
