Household expenditure

Household income and expenditure data is collected through Household Income and Expenditure Surveys. One of the key objectives of the survey is to obtain information on the expenditure and income patterns and levels of private households in Bermuda. This data is used to update the ‘market basket’ of goods and services and household expenditure weights to compile the Consumer Price Index. One of the key objectives of the survey is to obtain information on the expenditure and income patterns and levels of private households in Bermuda. This data is used to update the ‘market basket’ of goods and services and household expenditure weights to compile the Consumer Price Index. It also indicates the overall living standards of Bermuda’s residents.  

This survey occurs periodically and results are published via reports. The 2024 Household Income and Expenditure Survey data collection period is January to December 2024.
