On Wednesday, June 23rd, The Premier and Minister of Tourism, the Honourable David Burt, JP MP, and the Minister of Transport, The Honourable Lawrence Scott, JP MP, joined the The Rt. Worshipful Charles Gosling, Mayor of Hamilton in welcoming officials of the Viking Orion to Bermuda. There were three plaque exchanges:
- Minister of Transport, the Hon. Lawrence Scott JP, MP presented Captain Hvidsten with a plaque – Captain Hvidsten gave a Viking Orion plaque in return
- The Rt. Worshipful Charles Gosling, Mayor of Hamilton presented a City of Hamilton plaque to Captain Hvidsten– Captain gave a Viking Orion plaque in return
- Premier, the Hon. David Burt JP, MP, Minister of Tourism presented Captain Hvidsten a handmade cedar plaque on behalf of the Bermuda Tourism Authority – Captain gave a Viking Orion plaque in return
