The Bermuda Day Parade Calls for Your Creative Energy!

Float Building Workshop

The Department of Culture invites all creative minds to join the Bermuda Day Parade festivities.

"As an integral part of our cultural calendar, the Bermuda Day Parade is a celebration of creativity, community, and culture that brings together people from all walks of life," said the Minister of Tourism, Culture and Sport, the Hon. Senator Owen Darrell, JP.

“To kick start the creative process, the Department of Culture is hosting a Float Building and Decorating Workshop' and 'Bermuda Day Parade Information Session' this Saturday, March 16th, at the Sammy Wilson Central Zone Community Centre (SWCZCC)."

"Renowned float building expert Christopher Naylor will lead the interactive Float Building and Decorating Workshop and aims to inspire and guide participants in bringing their vision to life."

Minister Darrell added, "If building a float isn't your style, but you still want to be involved, there will be an information session to explore the various ways to participate in the Bermuda Day Parade. No registration is necessary; you just need to show up and discuss with the Department of Culture's team how you can contribute to making this year's parade the best one yet."

Both events will occur on Saturday, March 16th, at the Sammy Wilson Central Zone Community Centre on Angle Street. The schedule is as follows:

  1. Float Building & Decorating Workshop: 12:00 PM – 1:30 PM
  2. Bermuda Day Parade Information Session: 1:30 PM – 4:30 PM

Minister Darrell concluded, "Join us in making the Bermuda Day Parade a memorable event for all. Let's come together and showcase our creativity, passion, and pride in our cultural heritage."

"For those looking to support Bermuda Day Parade participants, the Bermuda Day Fund has been established for donors of all levels to provide support. Funds are then distributed between applicable groups, up to $2,500 each. To learn more, visit givebermuda.org and culture.bm
