LARGE GROUP EXEMPTION:
BERMUDA NATIONAL ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION
CROSS COUNTRY RACES
Whereas the Minister of National Security considers that the proposed Bermuda National Athletic Association – Cross Country Races is justifying an exemption from the prohibition in regulation 4 (1) and (2) of the Public Health (COVID-19 Emergency Powers) Regulations 2020 on groups of more than seventy-five persons assembling;
Now therefore, the Minister grants an exemption under regulation 4 (4) of those Regulations permitting a group of more than seventy-five persons to assemble on Saturday October 10, 2020 between 8:00 am and 12:00 pm at Astwood Park, South Road, Warwick Parish with the following conditions:
Conditions:
- All persons at the event must wear a face mask and maintain appropriate physical distancing at all times. (This will not apply to runners at start line waiting for race to start)
- Maximum number of athletes – 150
- Bermuda National Athletic Association to record names and contact details of event attendees for purpose of contact tracing. Information to be retained for a period of 28 days post-date of each race day.
- Wearing of masks required when not seated or moving about the venue.
- Adherence to all relevant COVID 19 Health Guidelines as published by the Ministry of Health.
- The Ministry of National Security reserves the right to withdraw the permission to have more than seventy-five persons assembled at the event without notice to the organizer or cost to the Bermuda Government subject to the status of COVID 19 in the local community.
- The Bermuda Police Service and/or the Ministry of National Security Officials have right to attend and observe for compliance to the conditions as set by the Minister.
