LARGE GROUP EXEMPTION:
BERMUDA CHAMPIONSHIP
GOLF TOURNAMENT
Whereas the Minister of National Security considers that the proposed Bermuda Championship Golf Tournament is justifying an exemption from the prohibition in regulation 4 (1) and (2) of the Public Health (COVID-19 Emergency Powers) Regulations 2020 on groups of more than seventy-five persons assembling;
Now therefore, the Minister grants an exemption under regulation 4 (4) of those Regulations permitting a group of more than seventy-five persons to assemble between Monday October 26 and Sunday November 1, 2020 at The Port Royal Golf Course 5 Port Royal Golf Course Road, Southampton Parish with following conditions:
Conditions:
- All persons at the event must wear a face mask and maintain appropriate physical distancing at all times. (This will not apply to players and caddies whilst competing)
- Maximum number of spectators permitted to attend – 750 (General Admission – 500 / Hospitality 250) on the following days between 7:00 am and 6:00 pm:
- Thursday October 29th
- Friday October 30th
- Saturday October 31st
- Sunday November 1st
- BERMUDA CHAMPIONSHIP to record names and contact details of spectators for purpose of contact tracing. Information to be retained for a period of 28 days post-date of the event.
- Wearing of masks required when not seated or moving about the venue.
- Adherence to all relevant COVID 19 Health Guidelines as published by the Ministry of Health.
- The Ministry of National Security reserves the right to withdraw the permission to have more than seventy-five persons assembled at the event without notice to the organizer or cost to the Bermuda Government subject to the status of COVID 19 in the local community.
- The Bermuda Police Service and/or the Ministry of National Security Officials have right to attend and observe for compliance to the conditions as set by the Minister.
