LARGE GROUP EXEMPTION:
BERMUDA EQUESTRIAN FEDERATON
EQUESTRIAN SEASON
Whereas the Minister of National Security considers that the proposed Bermuda Equestrian Federation – Race Season is justifying an exemption from the prohibition in regulation 5 (1) and (2) of the Public Health (COVID-19 Emergency Powers) Regulations 2020 on groups of more than seventy-five persons assembling;
Now therefore, the Minister grants an exemption under regulation 5 (4) of those Regulations permitting a group of more than seventy-five persons to assemble on race days between October 3, 2020 and December 27, 2020 at the National Equestrian Centre, Vesey Street, Devonshire Parish following conditions:
Conditions:
- All persons at the event must wear a face mask and maintain appropriate physical distancing at all times.
- Maximum number of persons permitted to attend – 150 on race days
- Organizer to record names and contact details of event attendees for purpose of contact tracing on race days. Information to be retained for a period of 28 days post-date of the race.
- Wearing of masks required when not seated or moving about the venue.
- Security / stewards to be on duty at match. To monitor and enforce physical distancing. (1 security guard per 75 persons as per Dept. of Health Guidelines – Mass Gatherings)
- All relevant COVID 19 Health Guidelines as published by the Ministry of Health to be followed.
- The Ministry of National Security reserves the right to withdraw the permission to have more than seventy-five persons assembled at the event without notice to the organizer or cost to the Bermuda Government subject to the status of COVID 19 in the local community.
- The Bermuda Police Service and/or the Ministry of National Security Officials have right to attend and observe for compliance to the conditions as set by the Minister.
