LARGE GROUP EXEMPTION:

BERMUDA FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION

DUDLEY EVE FOOTBALL MATCHES

 

Whereas the Minister of National Security considers that the proposed Bermuda Football Association’s  Dudley Eve Football Matches is an  event justifying an exemption from the prohibition in regulation 5 (1) and (2) of the Public Health (COVID-19 Emergency Powers) Regulations 2020 on groups of more than seventy-five persons assembling;

 

Now therefore, the Minister grants an exemption under regulation 5 (4) of those Regulations permitting a group of more than seventy-five persons to assemble Friday September 4th, between 6:30 pm  and 10:30 pm at National Sports Centre,  65 Roberts Avenue, Devonshire Parish with the following conditions:

 

Conditions:

 

  1. All persons attending the Dudley Eve Football Matches must wear a face mask and maintain appropriate physical distancing at all times. (Players and match officials exempted from wearing masks during the match)
  2. Attendance of persons at match limited to 800 persons.  Spectator seating restricted to maximum of 400 in Grandstand and maximum of 400 Eastern Bleachers.
  3. Security / stewards to be on duty at match. To monitor and enforce physical distancing. (1 security guard per 75 persons as per Dept. of Health Guidelines – Mass Gatherings)
  4. Bermuda Football Association to record names of spectators for purpose of contact tracing. Names to be retained by the Bermuda Football Association for period of 28 days from date of match.
  5. Spectators must wear mask when moving about the venue.
  6. Hand sanitizing stations / equipment to be made available throughout the venue.
  7. Duration of exemption: 5:00 pm to 10:30 pm.
  8. The Ministry of National Security reserves the right to withdraw the permission to have more than seventy-five persons assembled at the event without notice or cost to the Bermuda Government subject to the status of COVID 19 in the local community.
  9. The Bermuda Police Service / Ministry of National Security authorized to attend the National Sports Centre and observe for compliance of the conditions prescribed above.
