PUBLIC HEALTH (COVID-19 EMERGENCY POWERS) REGULATIONS 2020

LARGE GROUP EXEMPTION:

2020 GENERAL ELECTION

NOMINATION DAY

Whereas the Minister of National Security considers that the proposed Nomination Day for the Parliamentary Election 2020 is justifying an exemption from the prohibition in regulation 5 (1) and (2) of the Public Health (COVID-19 Emergency Powers) Regulations 2020 on groups of more than seventy-five persons assembling;

Now therefore, the Minister grants an exemption under regulation 5 (4) of those Regulations permitting a group of more than seventy-five persons to assemble Thursday  September 10, 2020 between 11:00 am  and 1:00 pm  at the King Street, City of Hamilton with the following conditions:

Conditions:

  1. All persons attending King Street, City of Hamilton for Nomination Day must wear a face mask and maintain appropriate physical distancing at all times.
  2. The Bermuda Police Service / Ministry of National Security Official have right to attend and observe compliance of the conditions as prescribed above.
