LARGE GROUP EXEMPTION:
BERMUDA PRIDE
Whereas the Minister of National Security considers that the proposed Bermuda Pride event is justifying an exemption from the prohibition in regulation 5 (1) and (2) of the Public Health (COVID-19 Emergency Powers) Regulations 2020 on groups of more than fifty persons assembling;
Now therefore, the Minister grants an exemption under regulation 5 (4) of those Regulations permitting a group of more than fifty persons to assemble Saturday August 8, 2020 at 8:30 pm at City Hall & Arts Centre (Front Lawn), 17 Church Street, City of Hamilton with the following conditions:
Conditions:
- All persons attending the event must wear a face mask and maintain appropriate physical distancing at all times.
- Number of persons permitted is 150.
- Security to be present to monitor and enforce physical distancing.
- Duration of the event is 30 minutes.
- Security to ensure number of persons at the event does not exceed the permitted number of 150.
- The Bermuda Police Service / Ministry of National Security Official have right to attend and observe adherence to the conditions as prescribed above
