ROAD CLOSURES

FOR

THE REVEL DE ROAD PROCESSION

MONDAY, JUNE 20th, 2022

The Ministry of Public Works wishes to inform motorists that the Revel De Road Procession will take place on Monday, June 20th, 2022 and will require multiple road closures at the times listed below.

There will be four routes to this event that will require road closures.  See list below for each route and times event will take place. Motorists are requested to avoid these routes during the times specified.

ROUTE 1:  Start time 5:00 am until 7:00 am

Commencing on Dutton Avenue, to Marsh Folly Road, St John Road and into the City of Hamilton; ending at Dutton Avenue.

ROUTE 2:  Start time 10:00 am until 1:30 pm

Commencing from Devonshire Recreational Club on Frog Lane, to Parson Road, progressing to and ending at Dutton Avenue.

ROUTE 3:  Start time 2:15 pm until 5:00 pm

Commencing on Dutton Avenue, processing to Marsh Folly Road, Black Watch Pass, North Shore Road and eastward to Barker’s Hill roundabout.

ROUTE 4:  Start time 5:00 pm until 8:15 pm

Commencing on Palmetto Road, processing to Marsh Folly Road, St. John Road into the City of Hamilton.

The procession route will end back at the Dutton Avenue.

TRAFFIC CONTROL: Residents in these areas are encouraged to follow instructions by the Bermuda Police Service, and Traffic Marshals on duty for this event. Residents will be provided  access as necessary, and give participants passage to move along the road closure routes. Residents are asked to avoid driving along the parade route whilst participants are on route.

PARKING: There will be no parking restrictions for this event. Motorists are permitted to park in designated parking bays along any part of the event. Additionally, motorists must not block the event routes or impede the participants.

In addition, the Bermuda Police Service; are hereby authorized to “Close-Off” streets or portions of streets and authorize parking as the Commissioner of Police decides.

The Ministry of Public Works wishes to encourage the full cooperation of the motoring public and apologizes for any inconvenience that may result.
