ROAD TRAFFIC ACT 1947

MULLET BAY ROAD, ST. GEORGE’S

FROM

ROCKY HILL PARK TO FERRY REACH ROAD

FOR

BLDC TRENCH WORKS

EXTENDED UNTIL FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 2nd, 2022

The Ministry of Public Works wishes to inform motorists that the ongoing BLDC’s trench work from Rocky Hill Park to Ferry Reach Road will continue to require a one lane closure up until 2nd September, 2022.

The trench work will remain in the westbound lane on Mullet Bay Road until it reaches Ferry Reach Road unless existing conditions mandate a switch over into the eastbound lane.

Working hours will be from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm, weekly from Monday through Saturday.

Motorists, especially construction vehicles, buses and taxis are asked to use caution when passing the open trench since it may at times be near the center yellow line and can be quite deep.

Traffic controls will be under the direction of Island Construction Services Ltd. representatives and will be managed through traffic control signs and signals.

The Ministry of Public Works wishes to encourage the full cooperation of the public and apologizes for any inconvenience that may result.

Should there be any questions regarding these works, please direct queries to the attention of Stephen Tucker, Project Manager of the BLDC at 501-3010.  Any queries on traffic control should be directed to Tina Beer-Searle, Acting Principal Highways Engineer for Ministry of Public Works on 501-3044.
