(Phased Re-Opening) REGULATIONS 2021

 

LARGE GROUP EXEMPTION:

Trott / Brown Wedding and Reception

 

Whereas the Minister of National Security considers that the proposed wedding and reception of Hedi Trott and Patrick Brown is justifying an exemption from the prohibition in section 5 (1) and (2) of the Public Health (COVID-19 Emergency Powers) (Phased Re-Opening) Regulations 2021 on groups of more than fifty persons assembling;

 

Now, therefore, the Minister grants an exemption under section 5 (5) of those Regulations to the Hedi Trott  permitting a group of more than fifty persons to assemble Saturday, June 19, 2021, between 3:30 pm and 11:00 pm at the Bermuda College, 21 Stonnington Avenue, Paget Parish with the following conditions:

 

  1. Persons attending the Hedi / Trott Wedding and Reception must be able to demonstrate that they are fully immunized or have tested negative for the coronavirus at least 3 days before June 19, 2021. Use of the SafeKey QR code that is issued by the Ministry of Health will denote that persons have been fully immunized or have tested negative for the coronavirus in the past 72 hours.

 

  1. The maximum number of persons permitted to be in attendance: 120 (includes guests and event staff). This will apply to both the wedding ceremony and reception at the following locations:

 

  • Holy Trinity Church (Hamilton Parish) – Wedding Ceremony
  •  3 Hidden Cove Lane, Hamilton Parish – Reception

 

  1. Recording of names and contact information of persons attending this event for contract tracing. Information to be retained for 28 days post-date of the event.

 

  1. Organizers to have security or event marshal on duty who will be responsible for ensuring that these conditions are adhered to.

 

  1. Duration of exemption: 3:30 pm to 11:00 pm

 

  1. Adherence to all applicable COVID-19 Health Guidelines as published by the Ministry of Health.

 

  1. The Minister of National Security may at any time modify or revoke a group exemption granted according to section 5 (8) (b) of the Public Health (COVID-19 Emergency Powers) (Phased Re-opening) Regulations 2021.

 

  1. The Bermuda Police Service or a Ministry of National Security Officer may attend the event and observe for compliance with these conditions
