PUBLIC HEALTH (COVID-19 EMERGENCY POWERS)
(Phased Re-Opening) REGULATIONS 2021
LARGE GROUP EXEMPTION:
St John AME Church Service
Whereas the Minister of National Security considers that the proposed St John AME Church Service is justifying an exemption from the prohibition in section 5 (1) and (2) of the Public Health (COVID-19 Emergency Powers) (Phased Re-Opening) Regulations 2021 on groups of more than twenty-five persons assembling;
Now, therefore, the Minister grants an exemption under section 5 (5) of those Regulations to Reverend Dr Joyce Hayward permitting a group of more than 25 persons to assemble Sunday, May 30, 2021, between 10:30 am and 12:30 pm at the Duck’s Puddle Park Annexe, Hamilton Parish with the following conditions:
- Persons attending the St. John AME Church Service must maintain appropriate physical distancing which is described as; maintaining a distance between all persons who are not of the same household of at least–
- six feet; or
- three feet provided each person is wearing a mask which completely covers their nose and mouth,
and follow any relevant guidance.
- Maximum number of attendees: 50 persons
- Minimum of 3 marshals to be on duty at the event to ensure that persons in attendance comply with these conditions.
- Recording of names and contact information of persons attending for contact tracing. Information is to be retained for 28 days post-date of the event.
- Adherence to all applicable COVID-19 Ministry of Health Guidelines.
- The Minister of National Security may at any time, modify or revoke a group exemption granted as per section 5 (8) (b) of the Public Health (COVID-19 Emergency Powers)(Phased Re-Opening) Regulations 2021.
- The Bermuda Police Service and/or the Ministry of National Security have the right to attend and observe for compliance with the conditions above.
