TRAFFIC ORDER NO: 14 / 2023

BBA TEAM TIME TRIAL RACE

SUNDAY, MARCH 19, 2023

The MInistry of Public Works wishes to inform motorists that the BBA Team Time Trial race will take place on Sunday, March 19, 2023 between the hours of 7:30 am and 11:00 am.

CYCLE RACE ROUTE

Commencing at Paget Post Office on Middle Road near St. Paul's Lane in Paget and travelling west along Middle Road through Warwick to Lighthouse Road in Southampton.  Turn onto Lighthouse Road in a westerly direction and travel over the top hill onto South Road.  Then travel in an easterly direction along South Road back through Warwick until reaching the finish line at the Bermuda College entrance at Paget.

TRAFFIC CONTROL:           

The bicycle race will commence on Sunday, March 19, 2023 at 7:30 am and is expected to be concluded by 11:00 am.  All motorists are expected to use caution and avoid collusion with race participants.  The race route will be under Race Official control.  Motorists are asked to follow Race Official instructions to assist with traffic control for this event.

ROAD CLOSURES:           

There will be no road closures to traffic while this bicycle race takes place, motorists are asked to use caution.  They must also allow cyclists to participate and give way when directed by Police and Race Officials.

PARKING:           

There will be no parking restriction for this bicycle race, but motorists are permitted to park in designated parking bays along any part of the race route.  Additionally, motorists must not block the race route or impede the participants in the bicycle race.

In addition, the Bermuda Police Service are hereby authorized to "Close-Off" streets or portions of streets and authorize parking as the Commissioner of Police decides.
