The Financial Secretary who has supervision of the Office of the Tax Commissioner, in exercise of the power conferred by section 6(6) of the Public Access to Information Act 2010, gives the following Notice:

Citation

1. This Notice may be cited as the Public Access to Information (Information Statement- Contracts Valued $50,000 or More) Office of the Tax Commissioner Notice 2021.

  1. Debt collection consultant providing ongoing liaison between the Government and Taxpayers or their authorized agents with past due land tax accounts

 

  1. The Consultant will support the Government in the following areas:
  • Review debtor files/reports to provide background on balances outstanding & payment history;
  • Agree and document a negotiation strategy for each debtor and monitor compliance.
  • Manage the debt collection process.
  • Provide the Government with a report.

The Consultant will be paid 15% of all payments of all land tax arrears recovered.
