Department of Health Clinics will not offer medical services to infants/children on Thursday afternoon and Friday
There will be no medical services available for sick infants or children in the Department of Health's Hamilton, Somerset and St. George's clinics on Thursday afternoon, 17 November and Friday, 18 November. Routine preventative health and immunization services will be available.
Parents or guardians are advised to contact their private physician or the Emergency Department at KEMH if their children or infants are unwell. The Department of Health apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause.
Flu vaccine available through Flu Express, private physicians and the Health Clinics from 1 November
From 1 November, the seasonal influenza (flu) vaccine will be available to the public from the Department of Health.
The flu vaccine will be available at the Health Centres, through Flu Express, and at the offices of most private physicians.
The Department of Health offers flu vaccines at a cost of $10.00 per shot for both adults and children. Persons over the age of 65 years will receive the seasonal flu vaccine free-of-charge.

Department of Health clinical laboratory accredited by COLA
The Department of Health’s clinical laboratory has achieved accreditation from COLA, a US-based independent, non-profit accreditation organization. COLA accredits almost 8,000 medical laboratories and provides a program of education, consultation, and accreditation.
