The public will be aware that from September 8 - 12, 2026, the Premier, the Hon. David Burt, JP, MP, in his capacity as President of the United Kingdom Overseas Territories Association (UKOTA) Political Council, hosted the OT Leaders in advance of the Pre-Joint Ministerial Council Meetings in November.
Discussions this week ranged from economic and financial services resilience, climate and disaster preparedness, regional cooperation, and citizen wellbeing.
The Plenary Meetings took place over two days at the Cabinet Office. The Leaders also visited various areas around Bermuda during their stay, which included attending today’s (Sept. 11) sitting of the House of Assembly.
