The Department of Education today informed the public of registration procedures for the school year 2022/23.

The Department of Education will be utilizing the PowerSchool Online Enrolment which is a secure platform that allows parents/guardians to securely enter their child’s information into an online database.

The online registration process will require both new and current parents to create an account.  This allows you to securely save your work and come back at a later time if necessary.

As part of the Bermuda Government’s FinTech Education Programme, the FinTech Business Unit announced today the launching of a free online program with The FinTech School, a San Francisco based company that provides FinTech related courses and training.

This online education opportunity is open for all interested persons allowing access to all of the courses available through the FinTech School.

“This is an exciting opportunity for Bermuda, as the Government continues to sponsor training and education opportunities in this industry.” said Premier Burt.

Maintaining the Valuation List

Island Wide Revaluations

Revaluing all properties on the Island for land tax purposes is quite a daunting task. There are over thirty-five thousand eight hundred (35,800) valuation units to value which range from small residential apartments through to a large power station.

The process of the revaluation and life cycle of the Valuation List falls broadly into 

1. There are approximately currently 36,700  valuation units in Bermuda.
    
2. These valuation units are broken down into approximately:

• 32,850 residential valuation units
• 3,750 commercial units
• 100 tourist units
