Wor. Charles Gosling, and representatives from the Salvation Army at the official launch of the Salvation Army's Christmas Kettle Fundraising Campaign outside of City Hall today.

The funds collected in these kettles all go towards the Salvation Army’s Christmas programming which includes a Christmas hamper program for seniors and families, a toy drive for children and providing hot meals for the homeless and seniors throughout the month of December, among many other things.

Noting that Christmas isn't always a joyful time for everyone, Sen. Hayward described the Salvation Army’s Christmas Kettle Campaign as a "lifesaver for many."

"The Salvation Army are collecting money for the people on our island who need it most," Sen. Hayward said. "I would urge the residents of Bermuda – from all sectors of the community – to support this year’s Christmas Kettle Campaign in any way that they can."
