Public Reminder of Ongoing Road Works

The Ministry of Public Works wishes to remind the public of ongoing road works across the island impacting traffic flow.

Examples of locations where traffic delays may pose a problem are Middle Road near Khyber Pass in Warwick, Georges Bay Road at the entrance to Morgan's Point, and Store Hill in Smiths, which will remain closed.

Road users are also urged to avoid travelling over the steel plates covering a road trench and surrounded by traffic cones on Mount Hill Road between Langton Hill and Hallet Crescent junctions in Pembroke.

In light of this information, the motoring public is strongly advised to consider traffic delays when travelling to their destinations and plan accordingly.

Traffic will continue to be managed through traffic control signals and detour signs.

On a positive note, members of the public will be pleased to know that Harrington Sound Road and Harbour Road are now fully open to traffic.

The Ministry of Public Works encourages the public's full cooperation, apologizes for any inconvenience that may result, and wishes all of Bermuda a safe and healthy Emancipation, Mary Prince and Cup Match holiday.
