Earlier today the Premier, the Hon. David Burt JP, MP, recognized members of the Bermuda Men’s National Cricket Team for their recent success during the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Americas Sub-Regional Qualifiers in Argentina last month (December).

The Premier was joined by the Minister of Tourism, Culture & Sport, Sen. Owen Darrell, JP and the President of the Bermuda Cricket Board (BCB), Llyod Smith.

Each of the team members were presented with appreciation certificates for their stellar performance during the international tournament last December.

During today’s presentation, Premier Burt said, “It’s a pleasure to celebrate and congratulate our Men’s National Cricket Team on their outstanding performances at the ICC T20 World Cup Americas Sub-Regional Qualifiers in Argentina last month. This success is a testament to the dedication, hard work, and teamwork of everyone involved—the players, coaching staff, and the many supporters behind the scenes.

“But there is much more work to do. We know the journey is far from over. With the North American Cup on the horizon in April and the next round of qualifiers later this year, we are excited to see what’s next as you continue this campaign to qualify for the 2026 T20 World Cup in India and Sri Lanka. Congratulations once again to the entire team. Thank you for allowing us to show our appreciation and thank you for representing Bermuda so well and look forward to continued progression.”
