As the public is aware, each year Government’s Summer Day Camp (SDC) students gather to participate in Mini-Cup Match at the Devonshire Recreation Club.

  • St. George’s won the toss and sent Somerset into bat.
  • Somerset amassed 95 runs in their allotted overs.
  • St. George’s passed the score in 21 overs.

Minister Owen Darrell who bowled the first ball at today’s event, congratulated all the youngsters for their teamwork, sportsmanship and camaraderie. He also took the opportunity to thank all the coaches, camp counsellors and sports supervisor Mr. Quincey Aberdeen for their dedication to our young people.

The Department of Youth, Sport and Recreation thanked all who showed up today to cheer on the little ones at the annual Mini-Cup Match.
