The Economic Development Department (EDD) is pleased to announce the next instalment in its Fintech Webinar Series 2025, which will be held on Friday, 16 May 2025, at 12:00 PM. This event will spotlight blockchain innovation through a live session featuring Fabiano Izzo and Diana Levytska of AstraKode, a leading technology firm advancing blockchain-based development platforms.

This virtual session is part of the Government's ongoing efforts to promote education, engagement, and international collaboration in support of Bermuda’s Fintech ecosystem. AstraKode's presentation will offer participants a multifaceted overview of blockchain technology, including:

  • An introduction to blockchain theory;
  • Real-world applications of the blockchain in finance;
  • AstraKode's role and positioning in the global Fintech ecosystem;
  • A use case spotlighting AstraKode's notary service for a Swiss financial institution;
  • An additional illustration of blockchain in microfinance.
