The Ministry of Home Affairs announces an extension of an additional week for consultation on the draft Blue Prosperity Plan. The consultation will now close on Tuesday, 7th of May.
The extended consultation period will provide additional time for all stakeholders and the public to review the draft Plan, offer feedback, and contribute their perspectives to the independent Review Panel for consideration. This inclusive process is particularly vital to crafting a robust Marine Spatial Plan that reflects the diverse interests and priorities of all stakeholders.
"We are committed to fostering meaningful engagement and collaboration in developing the Marine Spatial Plan," said Minister Roban. "We have only received four submissions to date, and extending the public consultation period demonstrates our dedication to ensuring that all voices are heard and considered in this important planning process."
Details of the Review Panel and how to submit comments are available at forum.gov.bm. The public is strongly encouraged to submit their comments either electronically or by hard copy. Printed copies of the written submission application form are available for collection at the Department of Environment and Natural Resources’ headquarters in the Botanical Gardens during regular working hours, Monday to Friday, 8:45. a.m. to 5:00 pm. These forms can be completed and submitted in the secure mailbox outside and to the left of the main entrance of the DENR Botanical Gardens office. Any supporting documentation can also be included with each submission.
