Minister Wilson recently received her annual flu vaccination and expressed her commitment to this practice, stating, "I make it a point to get the flu vaccine as soon as it becomes available each year. I have full confidence in the safety and effectiveness of this vaccine in preventing the majority of flu cases. By doing so, I protect myself and safeguard my family, friends, and our entire community."

The public can fill out the consent form and pay online for the flu vaccine to minimise paperwork on arrival and reduce wait times by visiting  https://forms.gov.bm/Influenza-Vaccine-Consent. An email will be sent to you and is required to be shown when you arrive for vaccination. If you cannot complete the consent form online, you can do so at the Flu Express location.

Minister Wilson concluded, “The Ministry of Health is working with the UK Foreign Commonwealth & Development Office to acquire COVID-19 booster doses and aims to have them available in December.

"Influenza and COVID-19 can lead to a range of symptoms, from mild to severe, and can result in hospitalization and even death, particularly among high-risk groups like the elderly and those with weakened immune systems. If you have any questions about the flu shot and the COVID-19 booster, or need more information, please consult a healthcare professional or call the Department of Health on 278-6452.”
