Searching reserved names
Reserved names are searchable, so you can see whether a name you want is already reserved by someone else as well as whether it is already registered. We may refuse a name that is undesirable, or identical or deceptively similar to an existing one.

Reading a search result
A search returns the registered office address, the memorandum of association or certificate of formation, the date of incorporation, formation or registration, information on charges, and previous names.
Two things to look for on a partnership
Whether it has elected legal personality, which the register maintained under section 4A(5) of the Partnership Act 1902 records and which the certificate of registration states on its face. And that only the general partners are filed with us, so the register is not a complete list of partners.
