The public is advised that Global House, located at 43 Church Street, Hamilton, is currently undergoing necessary air conditioning replacement works from today (August 24) through Wednesday (August 26).
As a result of these works, a number of Government departments and offices located within Global House are operating with limited on-site personnel. During the air conditioning installation, temperatures within the building are expected to reach levels that may be unsafe for staff occupancy. Accordingly, for health and safety reasons, a number of employees will be working remotely until the installation works are complete.
Consequently, some public services may experience temporary disruptions, delays, or reduced availability during this period.
In particular, the Department of Financial Assistance (DFA) located on the first floor of Global House is providing limited services.
Those requiring financial assistance services are encouraged to contact their office at 704-7620.
A Government spokesperson said, “We sincerely appreciate the public's patience and understanding during this time and apologize for any inconvenience caused. We remain committed to ensuring services continue with as little disruption as possible.”
