The Minister of Youth, Social Development and Seniors, The Hon. Tinee Furbert, JP, MP, celebrated the creativity and achievements of Bermuda's young artists at the Prize Giving Ceremony for the 10th Annual Mirrors Art & Digital Competition, held under the theme “Our Island, Many Stories.”

The milestone event recognized outstanding student artists, participating schools, and community partners who have supported the competition over the past decade. Through a partnership with the Mirrors Alumni & Friends Association, more than $150,000 in prizes has been awarded to students and schools over the past ten years.

This year's competition attracted more than 200 submissions, compared with 65 last year, representing an increase of more than 200%. Participation from public schools also increased, while public voting rose by 454%, from 125 to 692 votes.

Minister Furbert stated, “Reaching ten years is a significant milestone. This competition is about much more than winning prizes. It provides Bermuda's young people with a platform to express themselves, explore their creativity, and recognize that their voices and perspectives matter. We congratulate every participant and encourage them to continue sharing their talents and telling their stories.”

For the first time, the exhibition was hosted at Washington Properties, providing greater public access to the artwork and an opportunity to showcase Bermuda's emerging artistic talent.
