The Department of Workforce Development (DWD) invites eligible Bermudians to apply for its 2026 Bursary Award, which provides up to $5,000 in financial support toward eligible courses, certifications, and degree programmes.
The Bursary Award supports individuals pursuing further education and professional development, helping Bermudians gain new skills and qualifications, advance their careers and achieve their professional goals.
Funding may support a range of educational and professional development opportunities, including:
- Short-duration programmes;
- Single-course completion with a local institute or organisation;
- Associate’s degrees;
- Master’s degrees; and
- Professionally recognised or accredited diplomas, certificates and designations.
The award is open to eligible Bermudians across all fields of study and can support individuals seeking to explore a new subject, upskill, retrain or enhance their professional abilities.
Acting Director of Workforce Development, Mrs. Sonya M. Clarke, said, “The Bursary Award provides Bermudians with an opportunity to invest in their education and professional development. Whether the goal is to gain a new certification, develop additional skills or pursue a degree, this support can help individuals take the next step towards their career goals.”
Applications for the 2026 Bursary Award will be accepted from 14 September to 14 October 2026.
