About Us

The Legislature provides an impartial advisory service to Parliamentarians by performing administrative and professional services for both houses of the Legislature and for the Parliamentary Committees. 

The Legislature fosters mutually beneficial relationships with other commonwealth parliaments.  For more information, visit http://www.parliament.bm/.

What do they do?

The Legislature helps to bring the relevant facts and issues before the electorate by: 

  • passing laws;

  • providing, by taxation, the means of carrying the work of Government; and 

  • scrutinizing Government policy and administration, particularly proposals for expenditure.
