WHEREAS, the Ministry of Education recognizes all teachers in Bermuda’s public and private schools; and
WHEREAS, the Ministry of Education recognizes the unquestionable dedication and exceptional commitment of teachers; and
WHEREAS, the Ministry of Education recognizes teachers for the quality education experience they provide for students; and
WHEREAS, the Ministry of Education recognizes that the achievement of students is a reflection of the knowledge and skills of teachers; and
WHEREAS, the Ministry of Education recognizes that teachers lay the foundation for students’ dreams and aspirations; and
WHEREAS, the Ministry of Education recognizes the resilience of teachers as they teach and lead during the COVID-19 pandemic; and
WHEREAS, the Ministry of Education recognizes the critical role of teachers in reimagining the future of education; and
WHEREAS, the Ministry of Education recognizes the importance of celebrating and paying tribute to teachers for their untiring efforts to educate our children;
NOW THEREFORE, the Minister of Education, on this day, Monday, October 5th, 2020, in the year of our Lord, proclaims the week of October 5th to 9th, 2020, as World Teachers’ Week in Bermuda and urges all parents and the people of Bermuda, to celebrate, acknowledge and pay tribute to teachers during World Teachers’ Week 2020.
