Round Table Discussion on Bermuda’s Economic Development Strategy

The Ministry of Economy and Labour will host a round table discussion on Bermuda’s Economic Development Strategy on Monday, 20 November, at 6:00 p.m. that will air live on Facebook, YouTube and CITV. 

"Members of the public will recall that the Government is in the process of executing the Economic Development Strategy 2023-2027, as was announced earlier this summer and repeated in the Throne Speech", said Minister of Economy and Labour, the Hon Jason Hayward, JP, MP. "This document represents the focus of the Government’s effort to strengthen our economy through five strategic priority areas which form the bedrock of Bermuda’s economic development efforts:

  • Local and International Business Expansion and Retention; 
  • Attracting businesses and promoting investments into Bermuda;
  • Entrepreneurship and Small Business Development;
  • Continued execution of the Economic Recovery Plan; and
  • Investing in People.”

"In support of this critical work, I am excited to be joined by this panel of experts who bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise that will allow the public to gain insight and understanding of how this important document will chart a clear path to guide Bermuda to sustainable economic growth and development.”

The round table panellists include: 

  • David Hart – CEO, Bermuda Business Development Agency;
  • Malika Cartwright – Director, Department of Workforce Development; and
  • Jache Adams – Chairman, Bermuda Economic Development Corporation.

The moderator for this important event will be Entrepreneur and Podcaster Shivani Seth. 

In preparation for the event, the public is encouraged to review the Economic Development Strategy 2023-2027, available online in the Resources section at the Ministry of Economy and Labour and submit their questions to the panel in advance of the event by emailing them to askus@gov.bm
