Public invited to attend a meeting on community violence and anti-social behaviour

“Genuine and consistent community involvement in addressing community violence and anti-social behaviour is what’s vitally needed right now,” said the Minister of National Security Michael Weeks, JP, MP, as he gets set to host an upcoming Town Hall meeting on the topic.

Taking place July 19, from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. at the St. Paul AME Centennial Hall in Hamilton, the meeting will also feature the Commissioner of Police, Darrin Simons and Bishop Leroy Bean, the Gang Violence Reduction Coordinator.

Minister Weeks notes that the occasion will be an opportunity for the public to ask questions and learn more about what is being done about the issue of violence and anti-social behaviour in our community.

“Community violence and anti-social behaviour is a community problem that cannot be remedied by one entity alone and I look forward to having an engaging discussion with members of the public about how we will tackle this issue..”
