As the formal Budget Debate gets underway in the House of Assembly today, the public is reminded that on February 16, the Premier and Minister of Finance, the Hon. David Burt, JP, MP, delivered a comprehensive Budget Statement that highlighted some key milestones to support Bermudians.
Recently the Premier expanded on the Government’s plans during a special Budget Edition of This Week in Government. In the 30-minute episode, Premier Burt spoke about freezing health insurance for the third year in a row; tackling the cost of living; more money for affordable housing; more funds for infrastructure improvements; an increase in construction projects; more job creation and plans to diversify the economy.
