Open Data Focus Groups

The E-Commerce Advisory Board Open Data Sub-Committee is very interested in learning how Open Data might be beneficial to the community and what data sets would be deemed most beneficial for access. Open Data refers to making Government information publicly and easily accessible which promotes transparency, trust, accountability and value creation. It enables citizens to make better decisions in their own lives, develop solutions and provide opportunities for decision-making and efficiency gains.

The public is invited to participate in a focus group on the provision of Open Data by the Government of Bermuda on Thursday, October 17th. Two sessions will be held:

  • Lunchtime (12.30pm – 1.30pm)
  • Early Evening (5.30pm – 6.30pm)

Both sessions will be held in the Department of Planning Boardroom, Dame Lois Browne-Evans Building, 5th Floor, 58 Court Street, Hamilton, HM12. Light refreshments will be provided.

Persons interested in participated can email ictpolicy@gov.bm. Please indicate which session you are interested in attending. The deadline to register is Wednesday, October 16th. If you are not able to attend, please feel free to send a representation from your organization who may be able to provide insight into the topic. You can also participate in the Survey Monkey survey on Open Data - https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/5FG9GCQ.
