The Office of Youth Affairs Opens Registration for Out-of-School Summer Programmes

The Office of Youth Affairs invites parents and guardians to register their children for the upcoming out-of-school programmes held throughout August. 

The department has facilitated six themed summer day programmes for students from preschool to middle school levels. They will be held from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. for three weeks, from August 5th to August 23rd, 2024. The weekly cost is two (2) government child-care vouchers or $60 per child. 

The six programmes available are:  

  • Fundamentals: Preschool completed-P2 Students
  • DIY Jewelry 101(Creatives): P3-P6
  • Artastic (Art): P3-P6
  • Wild ‘N Out (Nature): P3-P6 
  • Play It Al (Sports): P3-P6
  • Game Changers (Leadership): M1-M3 

The programmes are hosted at three convenient locations island-wide, including the Sammy Wilson Central Zone Community Centre, 3 Angle Street, Pembroke; Western Zone Community Centre, 13 Kitchener Close, Sandy’s; and the Eastern Zone Community Centre, 6 Old Military Road, St. George’s. 

Registration opens on Friday, June 7th, 2024, at 9.00 am.

Tinee Furbert, JP, MP, said, “The Office of Youth Affairs programmes are a great option for parents and guardians in need of affordable summer camps. The variety of activities on offer is sure to engage and inspire children interested in the creative, academic, and athletic fields in preparation for the next academic school year.
