On Monday, June 29, a meeting was held between the Minister of Tourism & Transport, Culture & Sport, the Hon. Owen Darrell, JP, MP, the Acting CEO of the Bermuda Tourism Authority, Erin Wright, Bermuda Tourism Authority Board Chair and Chair of Bermuda’s Air Service Development Committee, Billy Griffith, and the Chief Executive Officer of Air Canada, Michael Rousseau.
While on island, Mr. Rousseau took the opportunity to connect with the Minister and the Bermuda Tourism Authority to continue strengthening the longstanding partnership between Bermuda and Air Canada, while also sharing updates on recent airline developments.
Air Canada has proudly been servicing Bermuda for 78 years, playing a key role in supporting the island’s connectivity, tourism growth, and international accessibility.
Minister Owen Darrell expressed appreciation for the continued partnership, stating:
“We are grateful for Air Canada’s long-standing commitment to Bermuda. Their service has been instrumental in connecting our islands to key source markets and supporting the continued growth of our tourism industry. We value this partnership and look forward to building on it in the years ahead.”
Erin Wright, Acting CEO of the Bermuda Tourism Authority, also welcomed the opportunity to engage with Air Canada leadership, stating:
“It was a pleasure to meet with Mr. Rousseau and strengthen our ongoing relationship with Air Canada. Their continued service to Bermuda is vital to our tourism strategy, and we appreciate their collaboration and shared commitment to the destination.”
